PART-TIME TEACHER- MSDE SCHOOL AGE QUALIFIED -BEFORE AND AFTER SCHOOL CARE
About The Position
Columbia Association is seeking part-time MSDE School Age Qualified Teachers and Assistant Teachers for its School Age Services program. This program operates before and after school care in 20 elementary schools in Howard County. The role involves implementing age-appropriate curriculum and lesson plans to meet the developmental needs of children, assisting with maintaining a safe and healthy environment, and fostering positive communication with families, children, and staff. The position is for the school year from August 2025 through June 2026, with available shifts in the morning (6:45 am - 9:15 am) and afternoon (3:00 pm - 6:00 pm). Candidates can opt to work one or both shifts.

Responsibilities
- Assisting in implementing developmentally appropriate curriculum and weekly lesson plans meeting the emotional, physical, intellectual, and social needs of children.
- Assisting with cleaning and maintaining a healthy, safe environment.
- Promoting positive, open communication with families, children, and staff.
