About The Position

Responsible for developing, planning, organizing, and implementing an instructional program for students through curriculum, lesson plans, and educational programs, while ensuring that all procedures are followed to maintain safety and security and to meet federal, state, and local regulations. This position is located at Thomas E. Weightman Middle School and is for the 2026-2027 school year. The chosen applicant will be supervising the female locker room, and only female candidates will be considered. This is a full-time, benefit-eligible instructional position for 196 days per year.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution OR Approval by or participation in a state-approved certification pathway program
  • Valid Florida Educator’s Certificate or District-issued adjunct certification OR Valid statement of eligibility
  • Must be female (as only female candidates will be considered for locker room supervision).
  • Must pass Level II background screening through the Florida Care Provider Background Screening Clearinghouse.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience teaching Physical Education at the middle school level.
  • Experience with curriculum development and lesson planning.
