About The Position

Responsible for developing, planning, organizing, and implementing an instructional program for students through curriculum, lesson plans, and educational programs, while ensuring that all procedures are followed to maintain safety and security and to meet federal, state, and local regulations. This is an instructional position for 196 days per year and is full-time and benefit-eligible. For secondary education, this position may require teaching an additional period beyond the base contract, with additional compensation at the negotiated rate. Pasco County Schools utilizes the Florida Care Provider Background Screening Clearinghouse for fingerprinting and Level II background screening.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution OR Approval by or participation in a state-approved certification pathway program
  • Valid Florida Educator’s Certificate or District-issued adjunct certification OR Valid statement of eligibility
  • Fingerprinting and Level II background screening

Nice To Haves

  • Reading Endorsement preferred.
  • Candidates with a Reading Endorsement or who are willing to sign an agreement to earn an endorsement may be prioritized for hiring.
