Teacher, Basic Education - 5th grade, English Language Arts, Temporary Contract (2026-2027)
About The Position
Responsible for developing, planning, organizing, and implementing an instructional program for students through curriculum, lesson plans, and educational programs, while ensuring that all procedures are followed to maintain safety and security and to meet federal, state, and local regulations. This is a temporary 1-year assignment for the 2026-2027 school year. Employment with Pasco County Schools will end after the current school year in which the tutoring role began. The District is not obligated to offer a position for the following school year. This is an Instructional Position for 196 Days Per Year, Full Time, Benefit Earning.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution OR Approval by or participation in a state-approved certification pathway program
- Valid Florida Educator’s Certificate or District-issued adjunct certification OR Valid statement of eligibility
- Fingerprinting and Level II background screening through the Florida Care Provider Background Screening Clearinghouse.
Nice To Haves
- Reading Endorsement preferred.
- Candidates with a Reading Endorsement or who are willing to sign an agreement to earn an endorsement may be prioritized for hiring.
