About The Position

A Teacher, Autism Spectrum Disorders Program is responsible to the County Superintendent and works under the direct supervision of the designated manager(s). The Teacher, Autism Spectrum Disorders Program teaches individuals with autism spectrum disorders, providing a program and instruction to promote cognitive; academic; communication and language; behavioral and social; and physical development.

Requirements

  • Must possess an appropriate California teaching credential authorizing specialized services to students with autism.
  • Must possess or be able to obtain English Language (EL) certification.
  • Must possess or able to obtain No Child Left Behind (NCLB) certification.
  • If hired, must provide proof of a valid California Driver's License.
  • Proof of Bachelor's degree
  • California Teaching Credential authorizing specialized services to students with autism.
  • Proof of or ability to obtain English Learners Authorization
  • Two Letters of Recommendation (each letter must be dated and have a signature)
  • Proof of or ability to obtain No Child Left Behind (NCLB) certification.

Responsibilities

  • Teaches individuals with autism spectrum disorders.
  • Provides a program and instruction to promote cognitive, academic, communication and language, behavioral and social, and physical development.
