About The Position
The State College Area School District is currently accepting applications for Classroom Teacher Assistants for anticipated summer programming. The District seeks dynamic, energetic teacher assistants who are student-focused and have knowledge of both theory and practice specific to the education of PreK-5 learners. Organizational and collaborative skills are critical to success in this position. The District is searching for candidates who demonstrate a commitment to professional growth and development and possess various professional experiences. Teacher assistants will support lead teachers with summer programming for our Summer CHAMPs Camp.
Requirements
- Knowledge of both theory and practice specific to the education of PreK-5 learners.
- Organizational and collaborative skills.
- Must possess a teaching certification or the ability to obtain a PA emergency certificate, including those Education majors with at least 60 credits.

Responsibilities
- Support lead teachers with summer programming for our Summer CHAMPs Camp.
- Work with Champs Camp Lead Teachers to carry out designed student activities and lessons.
