About The Position
Lincoln Public Schools is seeking full-time Teacher Assistants to join their team starting with the 2026-2027 school year. The function of this role is to provide supportive services necessary for assisting the classroom teacher in their task of providing quality instruction to students.
Requirements
- Provide supportive services necessary for assisting the classroom teacher in his/her task of providing quality instruction to students.
Responsibilities
- Perform those tasks assigned by the classroom teacher or the building Principal.
- Work with small groups of students, and/or individual student as assigned reinforcing teacher planned and directed activities.
- Perform those aide services necessary to help the teacher in his/her instructional lessons.
- Physically assisting a student on/off of the toilet and or with personal hygiene.
- Transfer student into and out of wheelchair, electric wheelchair, stroller or any other transfer as needed.
- Set-up and monitor student(s) while eating breakfast and or lunch.
- Assist student as needed during adaptive physical education class.
- Perform related duties as assigned.
