Teacher Assistants Before After School
About The Position
Leading Edge seeks reliable, enthusiastic Teacher Assistants to support our before- and after-school programming in the Sayreville area. Hours vary by location/program. Morning Hours Approx: 7:00 am – 9:00 am, Monday through Friday. Afternoon Hours Approx: 1:00 or 3:00 pm – 6:30 pm. Other Schedules Vary. At Leading Edge, we cultivate a love of learning that helps students achieve a lifetime of success. Our before and after-school programs provide a safe, engaging environment where students build academic skills, confidence, and meaningful relationships. This position is especially well-suited for individuals who: Are available before & after school hours, Are looking to gain experience in education, Enjoy working with elementary-aged and/or PreK children, Are seeking part-time work with purpose.
Requirements
- At least 1 year of childcare or education experience preferred
- Ability to pass all required NJ background clearances
- Must be available for all scheduled hours
- Reliable means of transportation
- Strong communication and professionalism
Responsibilities
- Support daily program activities and supervise students
- Assist with homework help and enrichment activities
- Maintain program quality in alignment with company and state standards
- Communicate professionally with families and school staff
- Ensure student safety and proper ratios at all times
- Create a positive, structured, and engaging environment
