About The Position
The Tri-County Regional Centre for Education (TCRCE) is recruiting individuals interested in working as a Casual Teacher Assistant (TA) for Yarmouth Town and County Schools. This position involves a free two-day training workshop on working as a TA in the Public School System. Participants must be available to attend both days of the training. The role is casual on-call, and successful completion of the workshop, onboarding, and security checks is required for employment. TCRCE serves approximately 6100 students in twenty-two schools across Shelburne, Yarmouth, and Digby counties.
Requirements
- Must be available to attend both days of the two-day TA training workshop (November 26 & 27, 2026).
- Must complete a Child Abuse Register Check and Criminal Record / Vulnerable Sector Checks.
- Provide three (3) references from Immediate Supervisors, including their email addresses.
- Complete the online profile/resume, ensuring all required fields are filled.
- Ensure resume is up to date and includes all relevant education, experience, training, and certificates.
- Upload all post-secondary education diplomas/certificates (if applicable).
Nice To Haves
- Have current security checks less than 6 months old.
