About The Position

This is an exciting opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of our patients as a Teacher Aide at Perimeter Behavioral of Missouri - Saint Robert. In this role, the Teacher Aide will support the teacher in providing educational care of adolescents facing behavioral challenges and medically complex physical conditions.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• At least twenty-one (21) years of age

Nice To Haves

• Valid Missouri Driver's License is preferred
• Experience in a mental health setting (preferably with adolescents), and knowledge of child/adolescent growth and development, and the ability to relate to adolescents with substance abuse or mental health problems is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist the teacher in implementing Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and instructional strategies tailored to each adolescent’s unique needs.
• Support students during classrooms activities and lessons, providing guidance and encouragement to foster engagement and learning.
• Help maintain a safe and organized classroom environment that promotes positive behavior and emotional regulation among students.
• Collaborate with the teacher and staff to monitor student progress and identify areas needing additional support.
• Facilitate communication with students, ensuring they understand instructions and feel comfortable expressing their needs and concerns.
• Assist in preparing instructional materials and resources necessary for classroom activities and lessons.
