Looking for a part-time job that makes a difference? Join Chambliss Center for Children as a Teacher Assistant in our unique early learning center, Little Scholars. This mixed-age classroom is located at Momentum, a nonprofit organization that supports single mothers pursuing a college education. No classroom experience is required—we will provide training for the right candidate who is dependable, caring, and eager to learn.
Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years old with a High School Diploma or equivalent
- Ability to pass a fingerprint background check
- Experience working with young children (infant - 4 yrs old) in a classroom setting.
- Ability to work collaboratively with children, families, and coworkers
Nice To Haves
- No classroom experience is required—we will provide training for the right candidate who is dependable, caring, and eager to learn.
Responsibilities
- Assist in supervising and caring for children ages infant through 4 years
- Support daily classroom activities, play experiences, and learning opportunities
- Help maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming classroom environment
- Assist with meals, diapering, toileting, and other routine care needs
- Build positive relationships with children and families
