About The Position

Chambliss Center for Children is hiring caring and energetic Teacher Assistants to work in a one-of-a-kind childcare program located inside Hamilton County Schools. These classrooms serve children from infants to Pre-K and allow the schools to offer on-site childcare to their staff with young children. This role offers summers, holidays, and school breaks off, making it ideal for parents, students, or anyone seeking a balanced schedule. It's a great opportunity for part-time work with some flexibility, allowing you to make a difference by helping young children learn and grow in a safe, loving environment.

Requirements

• Must be 18 or older with at least a high school diploma or GED
• Able to pass a fingerprint background check

Nice To Haves

• Experience in early childhood education is a plus
• Team player with a love for working with children and families

Responsibilities

• Supervise and care for children during all activities
• Help plan and lead fun, learning-based activities
• Keep the classroom clean and organized
• Work closely with other staff, parents, and volunteers
• Watch for children’s health needs and respond appropriately
• Support the overall mission of Chambliss Center for Children
