Proudly celebrating our 75th anniversary, we remain committed to empowering individuals and building inclusive communities. This position is for a Teacher Assistant for Preschool in Tonawanda, NY. The Teacher Assistant helps the classroom teacher in implementing an individualized educational program for each student during the school day.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- Previous experience working with children with disabilities preferred
Responsibilities
- Work with students individually and in small groups to carry out activities as outlined in Individualized Education Plans
- Assisting classroom teacher in large group activities by providing special help to students most in need of individualized attention
- Contribute to the evaluation of individual students in terms of behavioral objectives, cognitive and social/emotional level of pupils employing a variety of assigned data collection methods
