The Teacher Assistant will be part of a professional early intervention team, which includes teachers, speech, occupational, and physical therapists. They will assist in developing comprehensive evaluation reports, plan, and implement Individual Educational Plan. They will also assist teachers in an inclusive preschool setting with children who are typically developing and those with special needs, and provide direct supervision, care and support to children. The role involves carrying out educational, creative and recreational activities in the classroom or play park.

Requirements

High School Diploma/GED required.
1-2 years experience working with young children.
Good organizational skills.
Clear, pleasant and courteous communicator, both written and oral.
Dedication to young children.

Responsibilities

Be part of a professional early intervention team, which includes teachers, speech, occupational, and physical therapists.
Evaluate preschool-age children using a team approach.
Assist in developing comprehensive evaluation reports, plan, and implement Individual Educational Plan.
Assist teachers in an inclusive preschool setting with children who are typically developing and those with special needs.
Assists in providing direct supervision, care and support to children.
Carry out educational, creative and recreational activities in classroom or play park.
