About The Position
The Teacher Assistant - Exceptional Children position at College Park Elementary is a ten-month work year role. The primary goal is to assist the teacher by monitoring and supporting special needs students in the classroom and during other activities, ensuring the provision of quality instruction in a safe environment.
Requirements
- High School degree
- A minimum of 48 semester hours of college-level coursework or an Associate degree.
- Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board of Education may find appropriate.
Responsibilities
- Monitor and assist special needs students in the classroom.
- Assist special needs students during other activities.
- Ensure the provision of quality instruction.
- Maintain a safe environment for students.
