About The Position
Our Place to Grow—a brand-new childcare center created in partnership with Franklin Memorial Hospital + WMCA—is opening its doors, and we’re looking for a passionate Teacher Aide to join our team! Our program supports up to 27 young learners ages 2.5–5, using an emergent, play-based curriculum that encourages creativity, exploration, and laughter.
Requirements
- Experience working with children ages 2.5–5
- Valid Driver’s License
- Authorized to work in the U.S.
- Love for children & belief in play-based learning
- Team-oriented and committed to a positive work culture
Nice To Haves
- Sings the alphabet song on key or off key
- Can turn a cardboard box into a castle
- Loves messy art, silly giggles, and muddy outdoor play
- Believes every child deserves belonging and wonder
Responsibilities
- Support classroom teachers and follow daily routines
- Supporting social, emotional, cognitive & physical growth
- Planning playful learning opportunities that spark curiosity
- Communicating respectfully and purposefully with teammates
- Building strong relationships with families
- Helping maintain a safe, nurturing classroom environment
- Ensuring child & staff safety at all times
- Supporting childcare staff and promoting a positive work culture
- Bringing joy, patience, creativity—and a team-player spirit!
