About The Position

TES Staffing is hiring Substitute Classroom Aides to support students at various Rochester City School District locations during the 2026–2027 school year. The role offers a flexible, week-by-week per diem schedule and supports students across classrooms, including many students with special needs. Aides help students develop academically, socially, and emotionally in a rewarding and dynamic classroom environment.

The aide assists lead teachers with lessons and activities, uses positive behavior strategies, prepares classroom projects and materials, and provides direct instruction to individual students or small groups. Aides also adapt support and materials to students’ individual learning styles and abilities, foster an inclusive and nurturing classroom, and help ensure children feel safe and supported. The position involves collaborating with school staff and adapting to different classroom settings.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Able to walk, stand, lift up to 25 pounds, and keep up with active students.
• Must obtain and pass a background check through NYSED.
• Love working with children and be dedicated to their growth.
• Enthusiasm for learning and adapting to different classroom settings.
• Prepared to collaborate with school staff and contribute to a supportive team environment.
