About The Position

Our Lady of Hope Catholic School is seeking a full-time classroom teacher aide to assist the teacher with classroom exercises, tutor students, and maintain order in the classroom, cafeteria, and on the playground. The aide supports students’ physical, social, emotional, spiritual, and mental development while promoting the mission and teachings of the Catholic Church. The role includes supervising children indoors and outdoors, supporting classroom activities, completing required training, and communicating professionally with administration, staff, parents, and children.

Requirements

• Be an active member of a faith community and model the teachings of Jesus.
• Consent to a background check, commit to the Code of Conduct policy, and complete required online and in-person trainings prior to hire.
• Be physically able to perform the job of a teacher of young children.

Nice To Haves

• Familiarity with the Catholic understanding of ministry.
• Practicing Catholic in good standing is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Implement activities and opportunities that encourage children's curiosity, exploration, and problem-solving.
• Provide care for students' physical, social, and emotional needs while promoting and modeling the mission of the Catholic Church.
• Assist the lead classroom teacher with preparing materials, directing activities, and caring for each student while encouraging spiritual and mental growth and proper development.
• Participate in and complete required training through professional development opportunities.
• Demonstrate professionalism and confidentiality when working with administration, staff, parents, and children; promote positive relationships and communicate effectively.
• Lead children to meet high behavior standards.
• Supervise children indoors and outdoors.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the building administration.
