About The Position

This role involves working as a Teacher Aide for Summer School at Casey Middle School, supporting both Elementary and Middle school students. The position requires close collaboration with teachers and administrators, supervision and assistance to students and staff, and working with small groups. The aide must adhere to district policies and reinforce behavioral expectations, while interacting positively with parents.

Requirements

• Ability to take direction from classroom teacher and/or related service providers.
• Experience working with students with special needs
• Ability and willingness to work as a member of a team
• Must be able to lift the child and help with toileting needs (2 person lift)
• Willingness to implement student feeding plans

Responsibilities

• Work closely with classroom teachers, students and administrator
• Supervise and assist students/staff
• Work with small groups of students
• Adhere to the district Code of Conduct, school policies and procedures
• Reinforce behavioral expectations of the school
• Interact positively with parents
• Provide personal care to students including toileting
• Support students in his/her attainment of IEP goals as per direction provided by the child's special education teacher
• Implement student feeding plans

• Hourly stipends apply as follows: Split aide (assigned to both general education & PPS aide duties); UPK aide; Literacy aide; Primary Project aide; Health aide; Attendance aide - $0.50/hour
• PPS aide; job coach aide - $1.50/hour
