About The Position

The Teacher Aid supports the Lead Teacher in providing a safe, nurturing and engaging environment for children, typically ranging from infants through preschool age. This role assists with the daily classroom activities, care routines, and supervision while promoting children’s overall development and well-being.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED equivalent required
• Ability to communicate effectively and professionally with children, families, teachers and center staff

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience working with preschool aged children preferred
• Basic understanding of early childhood development and age-appropriate activities

Responsibilities

• Assist the Lead Teacher in implementing age-appropriate activities
• Support an engaging classroom environment that encourages learning through play
• Help prepare materials and set up activities for daily instruction
• Help to ensure compliance with state and licensing regulations and center policies
• Supervise children during classroom activities, outdoor play and transitions
• Assist with daily care routines including feeding, diapering, toileting and hygiene practices
• Ensure Children are always safe, properly supervised, and accounted for
• Follow all health and safety procedures, including proper sanitation and hygiene protocols
• Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary classroom environment
