About The Position

Requirements

Restaurant hospitality experience
Weekend availability is a must
Strong organizational and collaboration skills

High school diploma or equivalent experience
Strong problem-solving skills

Responsibilities

Provide an immersive tea experience by guiding guests through tea offerings, menu selections, and the Southall seed-to-table philosophy
Communicate guest orders, special requests, and dietary needs to the kitchen and bar using the hotel’s point-of-sale system; coordinate food and beverage timing to provide a seamless tea service
Review completed orders against the guest’s original request and deliver food and beverages to the guest table or lounge chair in a timely manner, ensuring proper presentation and quality
Anticipate guest needs, ascertain satisfaction, and offer suggestions, and respond urgently and appropriately to guest concerns and requests
Read each table and adapt to the guest, creating a customized experience for a variety of local guests, international travelers, and building residents alike
Properly and accurately close guest checks; process cash and credit card payments; properly settle voided checks or complimentary meals
Breakdown, clean and set-up of tables and chairs
Work harmoniously and professionally with co-workers and supervisors
Assists with responsibilities and duties in the absence of or due to heavy volume in areas of Food & Beverage when needed
Perform additional duties and projects as assigned by Southall Leadership
