About The Position

This role involves working in a team environment to ensure all insulation products are packaged correctly, meeting customer requirements and specifications. The position requires attention to detail, manual dexterity, and the ability to follow instructions to maintain product quality and efficient process flow.

Requirements

Must have visual observation and manual dexterity.
Must have visual observation and a high level of concentration.
Must have a high degree of mental competence.
Must have reading, writing and basic math skills.
Ability to use Electronic Calipers for inspecting Insulation wall thickness.
Ability to use I.D. Gauges for inspecting the inner diameter of the insulation tube.
Ability to adjust speeds and set length specifications on the Cutter(s).
Ability to document all information to ensure the product is packaged correctly to meet customer specifications.
Ability to get along with co-workers.

Nice To Haves

Ability to pack two lines simultaneously depending on speed or size of the tubes.
Ability to use an Air Powered Staple Gun(s).

Responsibilities

Use packaging skills and knowledge to ensure quality product is being packaged and accurately counted.
Pack two lines simultaneously depending on speed or size of the tubes.
Visually observe and use manual dexterity when packaging product into cardboard boxes, ensuring all product is labeled and stamped.
Maintain visual observation and a high level of concentration to ensure product is not damaged while being placed in the box or SSPT bin.
Place locking pins in divider bars when packing SSPT material to avoid tube damage during transportation.
Print labels as needed for all production run on the TCV lines.
Communicate quality issues (talc, ID, wall, skin) to the line operator.
Make quick decisions and react to problems that occur.
Verbally communicate with Packaging Team members to maintain an efficient process flow.
Verbally communicate with Extrusion Team members to prevent and correct quality-related issues.
Use a high degree of attention and concentration to inspect the quality and consistency of the Insulation Product while packaging.
Make 6’ foot and bulk pack cardboard boxes using an Air Powered Staple Gun(s).
Get along with co-workers.
