About The Position

We are currently looking for a TCS Engineering Technician 1 to join our team in Smyrna, TN. In this role, you will be responsible for setting up and conducting vehicle/component level testing, maintaining testing equipment and testing areas, assisting engineers with unique testing needs and any other task as requested by management.

Requirements

Associate degree in an automotive-related discipline preferred (Will consider 4 years of Test Technician experience instead of an associate’s degree).
Experience with instrumentation and data collection.
Willing to work overtime and travel as needed; the candidate must be able to work overtime on some weekends and off-shift as needed.
Strong automotive mechanical skills, problem-solving skills, and proficient in using Microsoft Office tools.
Ability to maintain a clean and safe work area.
Must be willing to work overtime and be a team player.
Must be able to self-manage deadlines and work ~20% OT as needed.
Able to travel ~10% of the time.

Responsibilities

Instrumenting vehicles and conducting component/system-level testing.
Assisting the engineering team with troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and developing effective countermeasures.
Communicating accurately and professionally with technicians, engineers, and management teams.
Creating detailed technical documents to support test setup and operation.
Tracking personal progress to ensure department and corporate objectives are met.
Creating accurate, detailed test reports for submission to test engineering.
