About The Position

The Optical Communications segment has evolved into a comprehensive provider of industry-leading optical solutions. This segment is divided into carrier network and enterprise network product groups, serving broader communications industries. The Scope of this Position involves the overall planning, implementation, and optimization of activities and support required for the delivery of fiber optic cable to business partners. Primary responsibilities include production order dating, scheduling, releasing production orders to operations, supply chain related project work, and data analysis.

Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree
Minimum 1 year of Supply Chain experience

SAP/ERP knowledge and experience

Responsibilities

Support production planning activities, including order management, delivery promising, and reporting of actual manufacturing results vs. plan
Ensure constrained capacities are not overbooked
Release and schedule production orders using various optimization tools and processes
Seamlessly communicate with plant, product line management and customer care to update order status and expedite orders as needed
Optimize finished goods, fiber and key raw material allocation
Move fallout and short length inventory
Leverage SAP / APO system to drive process improvements in throughput, inventory and to reduce process variation
