About The Position

Workforce Solutions partners directly with leading small to mid-sized CPA firms across the United States to connect them with top talent in the public accounting industry. We are currently working with a well-established and growing public accounting firm in Georgetown, Texas that is seeking an experienced Tax Supervising Senior to join their team. This position is onsite with a hybrid/remote option possibly available. Tax Supervising Seniors are a key part of the business tax team responsible for managing client relationships while ensuring final annual tax products and monthly financial work are produced and delivered to clients within expected timelines. This includes: Preparing payroll, tax, and business records and reports. Preparing and with some reviewing of corporate and individual tax returns. Communicating and meeting with clients as requested; providing recommendations to assist clients with financial or tax needs.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field at minimum.
  • 4-7 years' experience.
  • Intermediate/Advanced knowledge of accounting/taxation concepts sufficient to complete complex projects with supervision.
  • Is proficient in client accounting systems that firm supports. (CCH Axcess Tax, Pfx Engagement).
  • Complete knowledge of the firm's policies, procedures, and the ability to train staff.
  • Basic supervisory skills achieved through observation, training and experience.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience within the construction industry, preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Preparing payroll, tax, and business records and reports.
  • Preparing and with some reviewing of corporate and individual tax returns.
  • Communicating and meeting with clients as requested; providing recommendations to assist clients with financial or tax needs.
  • Maintains high quality of product delivered to client through detailed review of deliverables and working papers.
  • Project management at the engagement level to meet client care expectations.
