Primary job duties include: Reviewing and auditing tax returns and making any adjustments needed to ensure taxpayer compliance with federal and state tax laws Communicating with taxpayers to explain return adjustments Staying up to date on tax law changes and on knowledge of our internal tax systems Making recommendations to improve existing processes

Requirements

  • A bachelor's degree with multiple accounting courses (Transcripts required. Attach to application or email to [email protected] .)
  • An associate’s degree and experience in accounting, finance, insurance, or tax preparation/analysis
  • Relevant experience or education may be substituted on a year-for-year basis with an approved equivalence by the Division of State Human Resources (DSHR)
  • Academic degrees must be from an accredited institution of higher learning.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree with multiple accounting hours
  • Bachelor’s degree and one year of experience in accounting, auditing, finance, insurance, or tax preparation/analysis
  • Associate’s degree and three years of experience in accounting, auditing, finance, insurance, or tax preparation/analysis
  • Twelve semester hours in accounting, audit, or other business-related subjects
  • Basic knowledge of SC tax laws and forms and on-line computer systems

Responsibilities

  • Reviewing and auditing tax returns and making any adjustments needed to ensure taxpayer compliance with federal and state tax laws
