About The Position

The Tax Senior Manager role involves preparing, reviewing, and signing tax returns for a diverse client base across various entities and industries. This position requires close collaboration with the tax team to manage the entire tax process, including planning, client interaction, and special projects. A key aspect of the role is analyzing tax situations to ensure maximum client benefit, developing and communicating solutions to engagement teams and clients. Additionally, the Senior Manager will be responsible for managing client relationships, monitoring client needs, building value in professional services, and overseeing client billing. A significant part of the role includes mentoring and providing technical training to tax department employees, as well as attending training seminars, professional development, and networking events.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting required.
  • A valid CPA license or Enrolled Agent (EA) certification.
  • 7+ years of tax experience within public accounting.
  • Extensive knowledge of tax accounting principles and IRS regulations.
  • Actively stay up-to-date on the ever-changing tax industry's regulations and policies.
  • Self-starter who enjoys working independently and in a team environment.
  • Able to focus on complex tasks and will quickly understand the firm’s comprehensive compliance processes.
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States now or in the future without visa sponsorship.

Responsibilities

  • Prepares, Reviews, and Signs individual, business, and other types of tax returns for clients in various types of entities and industries.
  • Working with the tax team to ensure the various components of the tax process are performed -- including tax planning, client interaction and performing special tax projects.
  • Looking at tax situations from various angles to ensure the maximum tax benefit is applied.
  • Developing solutions and communicating those solutions to the engagement team and client.
  • Manages client relationships by monitoring client needs and building value into professional service.
  • Manages client billing for accounting services provided.
  • Provides mentoring and technical training for employees in the tax department.
  • Attends training seminars, professional development, and networking events.
