Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required
  • 2–4 years of public accounting experience
  • Strong understanding of individual and business taxation
  • Experience with tax preparation, planning, and research
  • Strong analytical, communication, and organizational skills
  • Commitment to professionalism and client service excellence

Nice To Haves

  • CPA license or active CPA candidate preferred
  • Experience with QuickBooks, Sage, or similar accounting software preferred
  • Estate, Gift & Trust or international tax experience is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and review individual, partnership, corporate, and related tax returns
  • Assist clients with proactive tax planning opportunities
  • Conduct technical tax research and apply findings to real-world client situations
  • Stay current on changing tax laws and regulations
  • Identify opportunities to improve client outcomes through strategic planning
  • Build strong relationships with clients through exceptional service and responsiveness
  • Assist with client communications and advisory discussions
  • Develop an understanding of client goals, challenges, and opportunities
  • Help strengthen long-term client partnerships
  • Supervise and mentor junior tax associates
  • Review work and provide constructive feedback
  • Assist with project management and workflow coordination
  • Contribute to a culture focused on learning, accountability, and collaboration
  • Develop technical expertise in federal, state, and local taxation
  • Gain exposure to estate, gift, trust, and complex tax planning opportunities
  • Participate in mentorship and leadership development programs
  • Build the skills necessary for future advancement within the firm
