About The Position

Cherry Bekaert is hiring a Tax Senior Associate to support its Richmond location. The role serves clients across a variety of industries and contributes to the growth of the firm’s Tax practice. The position reviews federal and multi-state tax returns, researches tax issues, performs engagement accounting duties, trains Staff Accountants, and communicates with managers, partners, and clients. Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
CPA certification or eligibility to work toward obtaining a CPA license.
At least 3 years of experience in public accounting.
Review experience.
Proficiency with personal computers, including spreadsheet software programs.
Passion for superior client service, uncompromising integrity, excellent project management abilities, and leadership skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with a strong sense of urgency.
Eligibility to work in the United States; the firm will not provide work sponsorship.

Nice To Haves

Master’s degree in Accounting.
Experience with ProSystem fx, CCH, RIA, and/or Engagement.

Responsibilities

Review federal and multi-state tax returns.
Research fundamental tax issues using online tools.
Perform other accounting duties as needed in engagements and as assigned by managers.
Train and develop Staff Accountants.
Communicate with managers, partners, and clients.
