About The Position
This internship offers undergraduate or graduate students the opportunity to gain experience in public accounting through the Promoting Opportunities & Outstanding Leaders (POOL) program, which provides exposure to tax, audit, and consulting. Tax season interns will work alongside tax teams, gaining hands-on experience across various industries. The firm believes that broad exposure to its services and niches better equips interns and future staff to serve clients effectively.
Requirements
- Expected or completed Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business, Finance, or Economics from an accredited college/university
- Superior communication skills
- Excellent research and writing skills
- Ambitious with a desire to continually improve
- Strong academic performance
- Submission of unofficial undergraduate and graduate (if applicable) transcripts
Responsibilities
- Develop a broad understanding of complex accounting and auditing concepts
- Identify and communicate accounting and auditing matters to senior associates and managers
- Review and evaluate internal control systems, policies, and procedures
- Examine and organize accounts and tax records
- Compute taxes owed according to prescribed rates, laws, and regulations
- Assist in conducting tax research, studies, and special projects
