About The Position

BerryDunn is currently seeking a Tax Processing Specialist to join our dynamic Tax Services Group. This position provides critical operational support to tax service teams serving a broad range of industries. The ideal candidate will bring strong attention to detail, effective interpersonal skills for working with both internal colleagues and external clients, and a demonstrated commitment to continuous technical and professional development. The Tax Processing Specialist must be capable of effectively prioritizing daily tasks, working independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment to meet deadlines. This is an in-office/hybrid position that may be based out of one of our following locations: Bangor, ME, Portland, ME.

Requirements

• Ability to work independently, manage priorities, and handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Discretion in managing confidential and sensitive information.
• Proven ability to meet deadlines and follow up with stakeholders as needed.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Adobe Acrobat.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with the CCH Axcess Platform (Tax, Document, Workflow, etc.) is helpful, though not required.

Responsibilities

• Print and assemble various types of tax returns—including corporate, partnership, individual, trust, estate, and exempt organization filings.
• Prepare and deliver finalized tax return packages to clients.
• Communicate directly with existing clients, colleagues, and management regarding various tax matters.
• Monitor and manage client deliverables and due dates.
• Demonstrate strong teamwork by actively contributing to a collaborative work environment, understanding both individual and team roles, building positive relationships with team members, and proactively seeking guidance, clarification, and feedback as needed.
