Requirements
- Minimum of two years of professional tax preparation experience with an accounting, bookkeeping, or tax services firm
- Ability to provide professional references related to tax preparation experience
- Strong attention to detail and analytical skills
- Ability to work accurately under deadlines and follow established procedures
- Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
Nice To Haves
- Formal tax preparation training, certification, or related coursework
- Accounting or bookkeeping background
- Experience preparing business, partnership, corporate, nonprofit, or trust tax returns
- Familiarity with tax preparation software and electronic filing systems
Responsibilities
- Prepare individual and business tax returns
- Review and enter financial information from client documentation
- Analyze records for discrepancies, missing information, or potential issues
- Develop client follow-up questions and gather supporting documentation as needed
- Maintain accurate and organized tax records
