About The Position

Cherry Bekaert is seeking a Tax Partner to join their growing Tax practice in the Virginia Beach, VA office. This leadership role offers the opportunity to shape the strategic direction of the Virginia Beach practice, drive growth, and make a significant impact on both the Firm and its clients. Limited regional travel may be required, and relocation assistance may be offered.

Requirements

Active CPA license required.
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Economics required.
Significant experience in pass-through entity taxation (partnerships and S corporations) and complex individual (1040) tax compliance and planning.
Demonstrated knowledge of the professional services industry, including the tax and business advisory needs of service firm owners and high-earning professionals.
Experience with complex federal, multi-state, individual, and partnership compliance and planning.
Strong leadership and staff development skills.
Eligibility to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

Lead a team providing personal, compliance, and business tax planning services to professional services firms, partnerships, owners, families, family businesses, and high-net-worth individuals.
Serve clients across the professional services sector, including law firms, consulting organizations, healthcare practices, and other service-oriented businesses, delivering sophisticated tax planning and compliance solutions.
Specialize in pass-through entity taxation (partnerships and S corporations) with a focus on complex 1040 compliance and planning for business owners and professionals.
Serve as a trusted advisor to clients, delivering exceptional service and high-quality execution of engagements.
Coach, mentor, and develop managers and staff, fostering professional growth and a collaborative team environment.
Contribute to business development by leveraging your professional network, identifying new opportunities, and expanding services to existing clients.
Collaborate across service lines and offices, embracing the Firm's "one firm" culture and commitment to colleagues' success.
