Requirements

  • 5 years of experience in public accounting.
  • CPA preferred.
  • Meet with assigned business clients and large individual tax clients at least annually, and/or provide direct fieldwork on audit engagements.
  • Ensure proper billing procedures are followed.
  • Provide professional audit and accounting, and/or tax service to assigned clients.
  • Represent clients before regulatory agencies.
  • Excellent consulting skills – develops an understanding of client businesses and uses this knowledge to help diagnose needs/opportunities and suggest solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Accurately prepare and file state and federal tax documents.
  • Develop tax strategies and policies to ensure client or business compliance with local and federal tax laws and regulations.
  • Manage client relationships within their area of expertise for assigned clients.
  • Direct the work of staff employees.
  • Provide on-the-job training and make presentations to internal teams.
  • Provide professional audit and accounting, and/or tax service to assigned clients.
  • Manage multiple responsibilities amidst competing priorities, including staffing, client visits for planning and scheduling with the partner, and monitoring engagement progress against budgets and due dates.
  • Represent clients before regulatory agencies.
  • Meet with assigned business clients and large individual tax clients at least annually, and/or provide direct fieldwork on audit engagements.
  • Supervise engagement planning and monitor progress of engagements in relation to budgets and due dates.
  • Ensure proper billing procedures are followed.
  • Provide professional audit and accounting, and/or tax service to assigned clients.
  • Represent clients before regulatory agencies.
  • Develop an understanding of client businesses and use this knowledge to help diagnose needs/opportunities and suggest solutions.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned by the hiring manager.
