As Tax Manager, you will work directly with the tax team to review and prepare income, trust, and gift tax returns. You will also work directly with clients and advisory teams to implement tax strategies for clients that align with each client’s goals and values. Requirements

8+ years of proven tax accounting experience; previous experience preparing tax returns required
CPA required
Experience providing client-centric tax consulting to high-net-worth clients
Strong research capabilities related to technical matters for complex tax needs and updates to regulations
Mastery of various tax compliance software products
Highly effective interpersonal, relationship management, and communication skills
Excellent organizational and time management skills in a high-energy culture to manage priorities
Demonstrated talent development experience, training new staff, and mentoring interns
Advanced understanding of trust taxation
Strong attention to detail

Work closely with Wealth Managers and the client base regarding tax/wealth strategies
Responsible for client relationships and retention; inspiring client confidence through demonstrated expertise; and helping ensure we are meeting deadlines and addressing client questions and needs on an ongoing basis
Work with peers and leaders to create and present strategic tax planning solutions to high-net-worth clients
Assist clients with tax-related questions, proformas, estimates, and projections
Manage consulting and tax projects
Review tax returns
Commitment to continuing education, team development, training, and mentoring new tax associates
Review federal and multi-state individual, gift, and trust income tax returns.
Mentor and train tax associates.
