About The Position
Red Bike Advisors is a 100% virtual tax, accounting, and advisory firm that assists healthcare practice owners and growing service businesses. The firm is seeking a Tax Manager to manage a significant book of tax business, ensure timely and budget-conscious delivery of all services, and maintain high client satisfaction. The role emphasizes tax planning, where the Tax Manager will analyze client financial data to identify opportunities for tax savings, influencing client's financial decisions regarding compensation, practice growth, and wealth building. This position is ideal for someone who finds tax planning more engaging than processing returns.
Requirements
- Hold an active CPA or EA license.
- Possess 6+ years of experience in public accounting.
- Have experience leading and developing a tax team.
- Proficient in individual, corporate, and partnership taxation.
- Ability to explain tax concepts to practice owners in plain English.
- Know when a return is complete and ready for delivery.

- North Carolina tax experience.
Responsibilities
- Deliver reviews within 3 days and returns within 2 weeks.
- Create a Tax Savings Blueprint for every eligible client.
- Conduct year-end planning meetings with all applicable clients before December 31.
- Coach a preparer team to identify planning opportunities on every return.
