About The Position

Tax Managers are responsible for the management of all phases of tax compliance for assigned clients in a variety of industries. Managers participate in firm administration and leadership, including staff and firm development. This role requires advanced knowledge of tax compliance and planning at both the federal and state level, and the ability to manage complex federal/state income tax returns with multi-state and foreign operations. The position also involves preparing and reviewing GAAP (ASC 740) income tax provisions and supporting documentation for worldwide provision. Managers are expected to effectively supervise engagement teams, review staff and senior work, and provide constructive feedback and mentorship. Additionally, they must demonstrate the ability to manage multiple engagements, generate and pursue proposal opportunities, and maintain strong client relationships while meeting deadlines and quality requirements. The role emphasizes motivating staff through professional and technical reputation, enthusiasm, and a positive attitude.

Requirements

  • Five or more years of experience in taxation with a public accounting firm.
  • Masters or other form of 150 college credit hours with requisite accounting related courses (Bachelor’s degrees may be considered in some situations).
  • CPA certificate required.
  • Advanced knowledge of tax compliance and planning at both the federal and state level.
  • Effective project management, analytical, interpersonal, and oral and written communication skills.
  • Dedicated to high-caliber client service.

Responsibilities

  • Management of all phases of tax compliance for assigned clients in a variety of industries.
