About The Position

Forescout has an excellent opportunity for an engaging and employee-focused US Tax Manager to join our high-energy, multi-cultural, world-changing team. We are seeking a US Tax Manager with a strong ASC 740 income tax provision background to join our growing in‑house tax team. This role will have primary responsibility for the quarterly and annual income tax provision, including US and international components, support audits and technical tax accounting matters, and will play a key role in strengthening internal tax processes. This position is an individual contributor role reporting to the Senior Director of Tax.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • 6–10+ years of experience in income tax accounting, with a strong ASC 740 income tax accounting background, ideally within the technology sector.
  • Hands‑on experience preparing and reviewing quarterly and annual tax provisions for a multinational company.
  • Prior experience at a national public accounting firm (tax provision / tax accounting focus).
  • Strong technical knowledge of US income tax returns and income tax accounting standards (ASC740).
  • Ability to work independently, exercise sound judgment, and clearly communicate technical issues.
  • Proven ability to collaborate cross-functionally with Accounting, FP&A, and Legal teams.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills with exceptional attention to detail.

Nice To Haves

  • In‑house corporate tax experience at a multinational company.
  • Experience supporting tax audits and SOX‑related controls.
  • Familiarity with income tax software and ERP systems.
  • Prior experience mentoring or reviewing work prepared by offshore or junior resources.

Responsibilities

  • Own and prepare the quarterly and annual income tax provision under ASC 740
  • Manage the worldwide tax provision, coordinating US and non‑US inputs for accuracy and completeness.
  • Prepare and review income tax footnote disclosures for financial statements.
  • Serve as the primary tax point of contact for external auditors on income tax accounting matters.
  • Prepare cash tax forecasts and support long‑range tax planning initiatives.
  • Assist with transfer pricing study and documentation and other ad-hoc tax projects as required.
  • Research and document technical tax accounting positions, including complex transactions and changes in tax law.
  • Identify opportunities to streamline and standardize provision processes, including improved workpapers, controls, and documentation.
  • Partner closely with Accounting and Finance during monthly/quarterly close cycles.
  • Coordinate with internal stakeholders (Accounting, FP&A, Legal) on tax‑related matters.
