Every day, we rise to the challenge to make a difference and here’s how the Tax Manager, Domestic role will make an impact: The Tax Manager, Domestic role will be a key member of the domestic tax team, providing wide-ranging broad support and leadership across all domestic functions, with Federal and State income tax responsibilities.

Requirements

  • Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree and a minimum 5-7 years of tax experience working for Big Four tax department and/or Large multinational corporate tax department.
  • Related experience and/or education may be considered.
  • Proficient with tax software (OneSource experience preferred) and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Must be able to frequently work independently and with little supervision.
  • Strong analytical, oral and written communication skills, highly organized, and ability to adapt to constant change.
  • Proficiency in speaking, comprehending, reading, and writing English is required.

Nice To Haves

  • Master's Degree (or equivalent) or Certified Public Accountant preferred

Responsibilities

  • Review federal tax proformas, extensions, partnership filings, FBAR filing and excise tax returns.
  • Prepare or review assigned schedules.
  • Research return filing positions.
  • Assist in preparing compliance workplan.
  • Oversee senior state tax analyst in completion of state compliance returns and workpapers.
  • Prepare complex provision schedules and/or review provision schedules as assigned in accordance with ASC 740.
  • Includes review/assistance with state current and deferred rates as well as state FIN48 contingency and interest accruals.
  • Prepare and review schedules for R&D Credit and coordinate with other departments.
  • Support IRS audit, including preparing responses to IDRs and tracking IDR status.
  • Oversee senior state tax analyst state audit responses.
  • Assist with tax planning and strategy as requested.
  • Monitor tax legislation.
  • Prepare tax compliance position memos and method changes.
  • Assist with tax technical treatment and due diligence activities related to M&A.
  • Lead tax technology efforts and support continuous improvement efforts.
  • As assigned by senior tax manager, supervise and direct the efforts of tax Department Staff including senior state tax analyst and third party consultants, especially for tax compliance.
  • Act as a resource and mentor.
  • Perform other duties as assigned, including special projects and supporting other teams.
