2027 Spring Tax Internship
About The Position
Rushton is seeking candidates for their Spring 2027 Tax Internship Program. Candidates will have the opportunity to gain real-world experience that will give them insight into the daily tasks and responsibilities of a beginning staff accountant in the firm. Under close supervision, interns perform a variety of entry-level tasks and special projects; assist with tax return preparation; perform bookkeeping functions; perform data entry functions; assist with payroll processing; work with accounting and tax specific software; track and analyze information; and perform client file imaging tasks.
Requirements
- Currently enrolled in college pursuing a degree with a major or concentration in accounting
- Strong communication and relationship building skills
- Ability to work as a team
- Ability to meet project timelines
- Proficiently utilize accounting technology
- Strong computer skills
- Availability to work 24-30 hours a week
- Successful completion of a background check
- Valid credentials to work in the U.S.
- Provide own transportation and housing for the duration of the internship
Nice To Haves
- Enrolled in senior year of college or graduate school
- GPA of 3.0 or higher
