About The Position

This Spring 2027 Tax Season Internship offers a part-time opportunity for a college student pursuing a degree in accounting, finance, or a related field. The intern will gain hands-on experience in tax preparation and planning, bookkeeping, payroll, financial reporting, and business consulting alongside Certified Public Accountants (CPAs). The role is based in downtown Naperville, Illinois, and focuses on serving closely held professional service businesses and their owners. Requirements

• College student currently pursuing a degree in accounting, finance, or a related field
• Minimum GPA of 3.0 or higher
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
• Strong attention to detail, time management, and communication skills
• Dependable, proactive, and eager to learn
• Authorized to work in the U.S.
• Reliable transportation to our Naperville office

Responsibilities

• Prepare, organize, and scan confidential tax documents
• Review files for accuracy, completeness, and proper organization
• Save and maintain digital documents in our firm's document management system
• Prepare professional client deliverables (digital and print)
• Prepare individual tax returns if proficiency is demonstrated in other responsibilities and workload capacity permits
• Communicate professionally with clients, CPAs and team members
• Work exclusively from our office in downtown Naperville
