About The Position

As a Tax Intern at Sensiba, you'll play an active role in the successful execution of a tax busy season. You'll work alongside experienced tax professionals on real client engagements, gaining exposure to specialty areas like individual and business tax compliance, real estate, manufacturing and distribution, venture capital, and high-net-worth client services. From preparing tax returns to researching tax issues and documenting client data, you'll build the technical foundation and professional relationships that set the stage for a career in tax. As a Sensiba intern, you'll join our award-winning internship program, gaining hands-on experience while developing technical and professional skills. Interns will be given immersive training, professional development trainings, and networking opportunities with colleagues and firm leaders. Throughout the internship, you'll build meaningful connections, participate in firmwide events, and gain firsthand insight into life at Sensiba, leaving with greater confidence and a strong foundation for your career. This part-time internship runs January–April 2027, 15–25 hours per week, and is fully remote — offering the flexibility to balance coursework with real-world tax experience.

Requirements

  • Enrollment at an accredited university pursuing a bachelor’s degree with a major or emphasis in Accounting.
  • Expected completion of bachelors or masters degree in Accounting between December 2026 and June 2028.
  • Minimum accounting GPA of 3.0 preferred.
  • CA CPA eligible.
  • Strong attention to detail and analytical abilities.
  • High level of motivation to learn and produce high-quality work.
  • Effective interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and a sophisticated client base.
  • Ability to work flexibly as part of a team to meet periodic and project-based client deadlines.
  • Clear and professional verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in preparing federal, state, and local tax returns for individuals, partnerships, and corporations, gaining exposure to a range of client types and industries.
  • Support the organization, review, and maintenance of tax documents and client information, ensuring accuracy and completeness throughout the engagement lifecycle.
  • Build hands-on proficiency with our tax software and other industry-standard tools used across the practice.
  • Collaborate with the tax team on compliance and planning projects, contributing to real client deliverables under experienced guidance.
  • Conduct tax research and analysis on technical issues, translating findings into clear, actionable summaries for senior staff.
  • Take on administrative responsibilities as needed — such as data entry and document preparation — while learning the operational side of running a tax engagement.
