Requirements

  • Enrollment in a bachelor’s or master’s degree program in accounting, finance, or a related field.
  • A GPA of 3.0 or above.
  • A basic understanding of accounting principles and completed coursework in Financial and Managerial Accounting.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Availability to work full-time (40-55 hours per week), including potential overtime during tax season.

Responsibilities

  • Support a variety of tax engagements, helping clients navigate complex tax regulations.
  • Prepare Fiduciary (1041) and Individual (1040) tax returns with accuracy and compliance.
  • Assist with extensions and support tax engagements.
  • Gather, verify, and organize client financial data for tax preparation.
  • Learn and apply relevant Internal Revenue Service (IRS) codes and regulations.
  • Collaborate with team members to meet deadlines and ensure high-quality deliverables.
  • Attend training sessions to expand your knowledge of tax law and industry best practices.
  • Maintain confidentiality and professionalism in all interactions.
