Summer 2027 Tax Intern

About The Position

We are seeking a team player with a positive attitude and the highest level of personal integrity to join our tax team as a Tax Intern for our 2027 Summer Internship program. This is a paid internship program (30-40 hours per week) and is designed to provide college students with an opportunity to enhance their formal education with a hands-on, career-related experience. This role is also ideal for someone looking for a part-time seasonal position in the financial industry at a nationally recognized registered investment advisory.

Requirements

Be enrolled in an undergraduate program at an accredited university with a minimum 3.2 GPA
Majoring in Finance, Accounting, or related business degree
Be proficient in Microsoft Office and Adobe Applications
Actively participating in campus organizations, preferably within a leadership role, and/or professional work experience
Identify with Cerity Partner’s mission and demonstrate our core values
Strong collaboration, interpersonal and communication skills
Keen, consistent attention to detail
Ability to maintain confidentiality
Applicants must be authorized to work for any employer in the U.S.

Responsibilities

Participate in financial planning and tax projects, as assigned
Assist in the preparation of federal, state, and local individual and business income tax returns in UltraTax CS (tax preparation software)
Create workpapers in Engagement Manager (workpaper organization/preparation software) and SurePrep (workpaper organization/preparation software) that effectively tell the story of how projects were prepared
Utilize FirmFlow (CRM/project management) and GoFileRoom (document storage) to maintain an accurate status of workflows
Research and analyze a wide range of tax issues
Other duties as requested by Tax Advisors and Tax Administrators
