About The Position
Cherry Bekaert, a leading accounting and consulting firm, is seeking a Tax Intern for Summer 2028 in Augusta. This internship offers insight into the public accounting profession, allowing interns to build a solid foundation for their careers. Interns will work with multiple supervisors on various client engagements, apply accounting knowledge using firm technology, shadow tax professionals, and participate in team-building and training initiatives. The role also includes a marketing or research project and participation in social events like happy hours, lunches, and community service projects.
Requirements
- Juniors or seniors enrolled in an accredited accounting or related program, two years from graduation
- Cumulative GPA of 3.0/4.0 or above preferred, but not required
- Proficiency with computers and spreadsheet software programs
- Ability to travel to client sites as needed, including frequent same-day travel
- Candidates must demonstrate eligibility to work in the United States.

Responsibilities
- Work for multiple supervisors on a variety of client engagements
- Apply accounting knowledge while performing client work using Firm technology
- Shadow Tax professionals of all levels
- Participate in team building and training initiatives
- Participate in and present on a marketing or research project
