Summer 2027 Tax Intern - Charlotte
About The Position
Cherry Bekaert, a large accounting and consulting firm, offers advisory, assurance, and tax services. They focus on client-first strategies, teamwork, and making a difference for their people, clients, community, and professions. This internship provides insight into public accounting, builds a career foundation, and involves working on various client engagements using firm technology. Interns will shadow tax professionals, participate in team building and training, and complete a marketing or research project. The program also includes social events like happy hours, lunches, and community service projects.
Requirements
- Juniors or seniors enrolled in an accredited accounting or related program, two years from graduation
- Cumulative GPA of 3.0/4.0 or above preferred, but not required
- Proficiency with computers and spreadsheet software programs
- Ability to travel to client sites as needed, including frequent same-day travel
- Candidates must demonstrate eligibility to work in the United States.
- Cherry Bekaert will not provide work sponsorship for this position.
Responsibilities
- Work for multiple supervisors on a variety of client engagements
- Apply accounting knowledge while performing client work using Firm technology
- Shadow Tax professionals of all levels
- Participate in team building and training initiatives
- Participate in and present on a marketing or research project
- Attend social functions: happy hours, lunches, community service projects and other outings
