About The Position

As a Senior Associate in our New York office, your responsibilities would include the following activities: Preparation and review of personal, business and fiduciary income tax returns including multi-state filings. Preparation and review of tax projections for planning and estimated taxes and other tax planning. Respond to tax notices and assist with tax audits. Tax research and special projects. Review of payroll tax returns and other information tax return filings. Forensic accounting and other financial work for matrimonial actions. Provide business management/financial administration/financial concierge services for multiple clients - this includes direct contact with clients as well as supervision and review of bookkeeping services such as general ledger postings, payroll, bank reconciliations, write-ups and preparation of financial statements. Review client specific reports including financial statements, budgets, cash flow and spending reports, as well as financial plans. Responsible for developing and maintaining superior client relationships. Interaction with other members of a client’s wealth management team. Responsible for all business aspects of client relationships including billing, collecting and maintaining profitability.

Requirements

  • Extensive knowledge of income tax planning, financial planning and financial administration
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
  • 5 – 7 years of High Net Worth tax experience with CPA firm or wealth management firm
  • Extensive experience with preparation and review of individual income tax returns with an emphasis on the taxation of high net worth individuals
  • Proficiency with CCH Axcess Tax and QuickBooks (Desktop and Online versions)
  • Ability to manage professionals, workflow, to multitask and meet deadlines
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Professionalism, dependability, integrity and trustworthiness combined with a team mentality
  • Applicants must be authorized to work for any employer in the U.S.

Nice To Haves

  • Masters in Tax a plus
  • CPA license preferred
  • CFP desirable
