About The Position

As a Tax Engagement Coordinator, you will be a part of our Private Client Services group. As a member of E&Y's Business Tax Service's practice, you will develop the combination of deep tax knowledge and a sophisticated understanding of business drivers to serve your clients to the best of your ability.

Requirements

  • University degree (or equivalent in experience) and a keen desire to learn and take on new challenges
  • At least 2 years related work experience
  • Able to manage multiple tasks, receive work from various sources and with tight deadlines
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Strong Excel and Word skills
  • At ease in working in a professional services environment

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and manage track engagements from setup through completion, working closely with tax professionals and internal support teams
  • Create and maintain internal engagement workspaces and tax process tools to support collaboration and documentation
  • Monitor deadlines and proactively follow up with tax practitioners to keep engagements on track
  • Prepare, coordinate, and manage engagement letters, including drafting and facilitating execution as required
  • Assist with low-complexity correspondence and inquiries from tax authorities
  • Create, manage, and validate client data requests under the supervision of tax practitioners.
  • Coordinate the electronic filing and transmission of tax returns and related forms
  • Continuously identify opportunities for operational efficiency or value creation, and help implement relevant operational solutions
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of business unit policies, practices, and processes to help meet quality and compliance standards
