Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or equivalent field is required.
CPA or JD required.
10+ years of recent tax compliance and/or tax consulting experience in public accounting or with a mix of public/private experience.
10+ years of progressive tax experience providing tax compliance and consulting services for individuals and S-corporations or partnerships.
6+ years of experience working in complex technical tax.

Nice To Haves

Master’s degree in tax or equivalent field preferred.
Experience acquiring new clients and growing a book of business.

Responsibilities

Review of tax projections, tax workpapers and tax returns, specifically Federal and State Individual and Fiduciary tax returns.
Oversee and manage the tax return process, including identification and resolution of tax issues.
Experience with corporation and partnership accounting and tax concepts.
Mentor, train, and manage staff accountants to meet deadlines and prioritize workload.
Effectively manage multiple tax engagements in a team environment, and also work independently.
Identify potential opportunities for new and/or expanded client services.
Ability to lead and manage engagements, including budgeting, billing, and engagement economics.
Highly proactive approach to serving clients.
