Tax Credit Compliance Manager

Fervo Energy•Houston, TX

About The Position

Fervo Energy is hiring a tax credit compliance professional to own its tax credit and government funding compliance program. The role protects project economics associated with Sections 48E and 45Y clean electricity credits, prevailing wage and apprenticeship (PWA) requirements, and domestic content requirements. The position helps contractors, subcontractors, and suppliers meet federal requirements and ensures Fervo can demonstrate compliance through documented records and processes. The role translates compliance strategy into pre-award requirements, timely records, early resolution of gaps, and evidence for credit buyers, tax equity investors, lenders, and auditors. It coordinates with Engineering, Procurement, Construction, Operations, Logistics, Legal, Tax, Project Finance, and site HSE teams. These functions retain their respective responsibilities; the role owns overall tracking, guidance, documentation, and coordination, supports questions and exceptions, and routes issues to accountable owners. This is a hands-on individual contributor position reporting to the Head of Compliance & Regulatory Programs. Daily engagement with vendors, contractors, and project teams is central. The position is based in Houston with hybrid flexibility, regular in-office presence, and occasional travel to other Fervo locations, supplier facilities, and project sites.
